In a groundbreaking report, NASA has thoroughly investigated hundreds of alleged UFO sightings and has found no evidence to support the existence of extraterrestrial life.

According to the 33-page report published by NASA on Thursday, there is “no reason” to believe that the “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAPs) observed are of alien origin.

The government has chosen to use the term UAP instead of UFO to describe these unexplained sightings in the report.

However, NASA acknowledges that if an extraterrestrial source is considered, it would imply that these objects have traveled through our solar system.

Just as the galaxy extends beyond the solar system, our solar system includes Earth.

The study emphasizes the need for new scientific techniques, such as advanced satellites, to study UAPs.

It also highlights the importance of removing the stigma associated with reporting UAPs to gather accurate data.

“The negative perception surrounding the reporting of UAP poses an obstacle to collecting data on these phenomena,” the report stated.

“NASA’s very involvement in UAP will play a vital role in reducing stigma associated with UAP reporting, which almost certainly leads to data attrition at present.”

Most UAP sightings recorded to date have been accidental or captured by sensors and equipment not designed for this purpose.

NASA suggests exploring the use of open-source smartphone apps to collect imaging and sensor data from citizen observers.

The report concludes that when searching for life beyond Earth, extraterrestrial life should only be considered as a last resort hypothesis, after ruling out all other possibilities.

“As Sherlock Holmes said, ‘Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth,’” the report noted.

NASA recommends playing a significant role in the government’s effort to understand UAPs by utilizing its expertise and contributing to evidence-based research rooted in the scientific method.

NASA, with its unique position in advancing scientific knowledge and exploration, can lead a comprehensive and systematic approach to studying UAPs within the broader whole-of-government initiative.

By conducting this study and taking an active role, NASA aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of UAPs and further its mission in advancing scientific knowledge and exploration.

Notably, the NASA panel appointed to investigate the more than 800 UAP sightings that have been reported over the last three decades, was only allotted a $100,000 budget and nine months to conduct the study.

The agency also announced the the appointment of a a director of UAP research, who will be “tasked with developing and overseeing the implementation of NASA’s vision for UAP research.”

Despite the report’s findings, NASA will continue to search for extraterrestrial life in Earth’s skies.

“We will use Nasa’s expertise to work with other agencies to analyze UAP,” NASA administrator Bill Nelson said.

“We will use AI and machine learning to search the skies for anomalies as we have been searching the heavens and will continue to search the heavens for habitable ability and NASA will do this transparently.”
